Three Ethiopians athletes, Yenew Alamirew, Hagos Gebrhiwet and Dejen Gebremeskel, will be featured in the men’s 5,000m on Saturday. This could be one last chance, with male marathon still schedule for Sunday, for Ethiopian men athletes to vindicate themselves at the London Games. Ethiopia has so far hauled three Gold medals, surprisingly all by female athletes. The country that often dominated the men’s long distance category has so far been virtually shout-out. The 22 years old Dejen Gebremeskel, who has the fifth fastest time in history in this distance, is the best hope for Ethiopia in tomorrow’s race. Good luck to our athletes.
