Ethiopia to build new Parliament at a cost of one billion birr, according to The Ethiopian Reporter. The contract was awarded to a consortium of designing and architectural companies including Addis Mebratu Consulting Architects and Engineering, Studio Seven and Geluk Trieurniet Architects.

The new parliament will be built on 31,463 square meters of land just across the current building, which was constructed during the era of Emperor Haileselassie I.
