FIFA stole Football from England says the English Premier League Chairman.

What do people do when their country's team fail to win anything in the pitch for many years? Well starts another front where it feels have a winning argument. The English National team hasn't won any trophy, at least as long as I remember. The presumed history of a football nation versus its lack of success at international level might have created some sort of desperation. May be that is why the English Premier League Chairman Sir Dave Richards accused FIFA as ‘stealing’ football from England. The Premier League chairman was using a sports-security conference in Qatar as his platform to attack FIFA and UEFA “England gave the world football. Then, 50 years later, some guy came along and said you’re liars and they actually stole it. It was called FIFA. Fifty years later, another gang came along called UEFA and stole a bit more.”

Both FIFA and UEFA declined to comment when asked for a response. But neither needed to spell out how the comments come at a delicate time for British football’s international relations.

Theo Zwanziger, FIFA’s executive-committee member has asked FIFA to strip the British of their vice-presidency at the world governing body. If that comes to pass it will end a 66-year-old privilege held by the home unions.

Both the English Football Association and EPL are trying to limit the damage by distancing themselves from this mess. Both FA and EPL stated that Sir Dave Richards is not representing them at this conference and his personal views are in no way shared or endorsed by the FA

This statement by Sir Richards believed to may have been provoked by FIFA’s Vice President Prince Ali Bin Hussein Jordan words at the conference. Mr. Hussein told the conference that FIFA belief that football in fact originated from China. Sir Richards said “It started in Sheffield 150 years ago, we started the game and wrote the rules and took it the world. The Chinese may say they own it but the British own it and we gave it to the rest of the world.”

Many believe this has created an atmosphere of Embarrassment in the English football.
