US President Barack  Obama sent a "Melkam Enkutatash" message to be read by Obama For America Deputy National Political Director  Yohannes Abraham at the Ethiopian New Year Festival celebration in Washington DC on September the 9th.

The Ethiopian African Millenium Group is preparing to organize New Year celebration at the Washington Monument for the second time.
