Pride of Ethiopia Represented In The Nation's Capital

I have been a Washingtonian native for a little over 20 years and by sheer luck I finally found a little place called "Sidamo Coffee".

As I pulled up my car,The aroma of Coffee being roasted wisked me to a place I call home "Yene Emama Bet"My grandmother's house where it's always smells coffee and insence...I knew this was going to be an experience that I won't forget.

Sidamo Coffee sits in the heart of Washington DC,serving the locals and also known for being visited by Capitol Hill'S big names.

As I walked in,The owner Ato Kenfe Bellay was roasting coffee in a big mill that sits inside the store, his welcome home greeting made me feel like I was visiting a friend's house and not a business entity.

After wrapping up my meeting,Ato Kenfe asked if I saw his garden in the back and sure enough,it was a site to see..I would describe this little Garden as piece of heaven, decorated by beautiful flowers and all the locals seating using their laptop and feeling at home.

If you visit Washington DC,this place is worth going and enjoying a cup of Java!

Here is what Hill Rags(Capitol Hill News paper) said about Sidamo Coffee:
