The Taste of Addis Food Festival

The Taste of Addis is an event designed to showcase the wonderful restaurants, caterers, and food and beverage producers in Addis Ababa.
The first annual food festival will be held on May 5 & 6 at the Tropical Gardens. The Taste of Addis aims to bring the varied restaurants, caterers, and food and beverage producers in one place for a weekend of food testing in a fun and relaxing environment. The organizer of the event Blue Media PLC believe that Addis has a multitude of restaurants with diverse flavors that can please all palates; however the population of Addis is often only familiar with restaurants in their neighborhoods, hence it’s the goal of Taste of Addis to create a stage where restaurants, caterers, and food & beverage producers can meet people from all over Addis at one location in order to showcase the best of their products.

Blue media has created an extensive media campaign that will promote the taste of Addis as a premier food and life style festival, with a dedication to the culinary arts. Food lovers from all over the city are expected to converge at Tropical Gardens to take part in an event filled with great food, drinks, and entertainment. Blue Media expects over six thousand visitors at the Taste of Addis food festival. It is to be noted that the visitors will be trend-setters in Addis Ababa, and their attendance will result in more business for all the participating vendors

The Taste of Addis will be covered extensively through different media outlets, ETV, EBS will cover the festival as news story as well as in their entertainment programs, and Radio station like Afro and Sheger will transmit live from the festival. The Taste of Addis facebook pages as well twitter accounts will be covering the events from the festival grounds on hourly basis. The coverage will be designed to focus on the participating vendors and will create publicity for the restaurants, caterers, and food & beverage producers.

Entertainment
The finest bands, DJ’s, circus acts, and poets will take the stage at the Taste of Addis food festival to entertain the crowds.
Kidd’s Corner
The Taste of Addis is designed as a festival for the whole family, and in that spirit, the festival grounds will include an area with different activities especially targeted to children.
